Hey, I am Ranmu, the human behind 叙(Xu).

Some journeys begin with a plan.
Ours began with loss.
Over the past year, my life unraveled in ways I never expected. I lost my father. I left the country where I had built my adult life. And I found myself asking questions that success, productivity, and ambition could no longer answer.
Searching for clarity led me back to something I had always known, but never fully understood: Chinese wisdom.
Not as fortune-telling.
Not as superstition.
But as a way of seeing.
A way of understanding timing, relationships, nature, and ourselves.
The more I learned, the more I realized that these teachings were never meant simply to predict our lives. They were meant to help us understand the world around us—and move through life with greater awareness.
Xu was born from that journey.
叙 (Xù) means to tell, to unfold, to express.
叙,不只是讲述一个故事。也是一个人,读懂自己人生的过程。
We believe every life is already a story in motion.
Some chapters arrive quietly. Others change everything.
A chance encounter.
A difficult ending.
A decision that redirects your path.
What feels random in the moment can reveal its meaning only when we look back.
For thousands of years, Chinese wisdom has offered a different way of understanding these moments—not simply as coincidence, but through patterns, timing, relationships, and the natural rhythm of life.
Xu is my way of exploring that wisdom through the lens of modern life—and through the stories of my own.
Because perhaps the ancient teachings aren't here to tell us what our future will be.
Perhaps they're here to help us understand the life we're already living.
And, in doing so, make a little more sense of our own life.
